Since Overactive’s early days, our vision as a business has been to exceed our clients’ expectations, while creating and preparing for the growth of our company. One can say that our foundations are built on the concept of “Doing Both”: delivering during the current context, while seizing opportunities to take our business to the next level.
More than 15 years of “Doing Both” have shown me that our methodology is ideal when the nature of any market changes abruptly. It generates potential for new business models and disruptive approaches. The digital transformation of many companies was forced to accelerate, and with it, the way they work. In this regard, Overactive did not have to settle or choose, we moved forward by embracing challenges and allowing them to become a part of our solutions.
As market leaders, we have a great opportunity to fast-track the evolution of our company and continue to deliver the best experience for our clients and people. I foresee a new Overactive within the next 18 months that will thrive from our grounded values and culture.
When it comes to our culture, our “Life @ Overactive” model plays a key role in attracting, retaining and motivating our team members: every one of our Overactivers share and embrace our company values.
On previous occasions, I have described how, as an agile company, we were able to make fast decisions and execute actions that allowed us to have business continuity and provide our services with all of our team connected remotely, while maintaining productivity, security and taking care of each other. This pandemic has become the catalyst to design, create and live the next model of work spaces. I imagine them as human-centered environments that allow for more interaction and visibility amongst people, as well as providing elements that will help maintain the new reality of the integration of work and life, while boosting productivity levels.
We want our Overactivers to #BeHappy and “Celebrate Life at Work”, one of our core values. We have transcended from balance to simultaneously intertwining our professional and personal lives, and our physical work surroundings should reflect and encourage this.
Another key component of our transition is our conversion to an Intelligent Organization. Our ability to adapt quickly comes from being able to evaluate and process what is happening around us (within our local and/or global business environment and climate) and transforming it into useful information. We use our talent and expertise to apply this data to carry out operational efficiencies and improvements to our processes through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This way we are able to read and understand behaviors, patterns and feelings in order to create the best solutions for our team so they can work seamlessly through disruptive and dynamic contexts.
According to Forbes, seventy-five percent of companies that have implemented AI and Machine Learning are boosting customer satisfaction by more than 10%. This is key for us to continue to exceed our clients’ expectations and maintain customer satisfaction.
During this time we’ve leveraged our position as a global IT Nearshore using AI to improve our delivery model. Taking advantage of our geography has made us a viable business partner in many markets. We share time zones, an important aspect for an agile software development model, and we have a high penetration and quality of broadband in the countries where we operate, an added value we are fortunate enough to count on.
I am a firm believer that combining our Intelligent Organization and Life @ Overactive models, will help our people focus on the most engaging parts of their jobs, enjoying the awesome job environment; hopefully resulting in a more attractive, innovative and effective Overactive. And when it comes to innovating, I like to think BIG.
We said that “everything you can imagine is real”. This time in our history has given me the opportunity to imagine Overactive’s next chapter and I’m fortunate to have the best team possible to make it a reality: to become the most recognized and valued IT Services company in Latin America.
